Steve Murphy is a former information technology teacher who now runs his own computer support business in Melbourne's north-eastern suburbs.

With his background, Steve is able to clearly explain all possible options, outcomes and likely costs, as well as answer any questions you may have. Computer terminology can be confusing to some and Steve will cut through the “techno-babble” and explain things in an easy and understandable manner.

ABOUT STEVE

Early in his teaching career, Steve realised the important role computers would play in the classroom as well as in business and the wider community. With a degree in Commerce and a teaching background in accounting, Steve returned to Melbourne University in 1989 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Computer Education.

By 1996 Steve was his school’s Systems Administrator, where he managed and maintained the school’s entire network of over one hundred and fifty computers, the teaching staff’s notebook computers and the school’s administrative computers and business software. Over this period, Steve was also teaching Year 12 Information Technology and was the school’s Computer Faculty Co-ordinator.
